U.S. Nukes Another Planet!

The United States, through NASA, has quite possibly become the first nation to detonate a nuclear device on another planet! Well, apparently. And probably accidentally. It certainly looks as if NASA screwed the pooch here – not like it’s the first time, but oh, bother.

This is just a paranoid rant, perhaps after reading too much Arthur C. Clarke. Phil Plait of Bad Astronomer did a long rebuttal to this a few years ago.

Thanks for the rebuttal link! Definitely neat reading both of them back to back, I kinda thought when the first article mentioned “Coast to Coast” that it was fringe, but fringe is fun sometimes.
