New Louisiana Ethics Laws Prompt 130 Resignations

Believe it or not, this ain’t from The Onion!
A new Louisiana ethics law has prompted 130 resignations from people in the state government. The new ethics rules were passed in a special session earlier this year, and … here’s the kicker … wait for it! Due to the massive resignations, the ethics board no longer has a quorum and can no longer conduct business until members are replaced.

I am starting to think the great scourge of our age is permanent politicians and bureaucrats using their positions to line their pockets and fleece the rest of us. My interest in the political process has been falling as I have come to the belief that there is no difference between the parties, and our current crop of politicians are primarily in it for themselves.
