<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As donors to Ron Paul&#8217;s campaign, the RNC now has our mailing address &#8212; and I got my letter from McCain&#8217;s crew, requesting donations today. The Wifeykins wrote RP propaganda on hers, but it occurred to me when I saw the return envelope, exactly what I should do. You see, it says &#8220;no postage necessary if mailed in the United States&#8221; and there&#8217;s a note that says &#8220;by using your own first class stamp to return this envelope, you will be helping us save much needed funds.&#8221;</p>
<p>So I&#8217;m stuffing envelopes for John McCain.</p>
<p>Stuffing them with as much shredded newspaper as they can hold.</p>
<p>&#8230; and sending them to McCain&#8217;s office in his own postage paid envelope, sans stamp.</p>
<p>Cheers!</p>

<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I&#8217;m kind of ticked at <a href="http://bloomberg.com">Bloomers</a> right now, because I can&#8217;t find the interview they did with <a href="http://www.vvcars.com/home.php">Malcolm Bricklin, a true automotive visionary</a>, earlier today. The history is awesome, from Subaru, the <a href="http://bricklin-sv-1-build-history.com/photo_1.html">Bricklin Safety</a>, to, yes, even the Yugo. I only caught a glimpse of the i&#8217;view, so if someone can shoot me a link, I would appreciate it!</p>
<p>I am adding <a href="http://www.bullringer.com/">Bull Ringer</a>, who focuses on simple to understand charts and rationales to get a head start on potentially winning investments, and <a href="http://shittingalpha.wordpress.com/">Shitting Alpha</a>, which happens to be the PERFECT name for a hedge fund IMO, to the <a href="http://www.billakanodoodahs.com/links">links page</a>. If you haven&#8217;t been using my links page, <a href="http://www.billakanodoodahs.com/links">start using it NOW</a>. It&#8217;s the bomb. No pissing-in-their-pants perma-bears allowed. Come to think of it, no perma-bulls, either.</p>
<p>Here&#8217;s some <a href="http://www.antiwar.com/pena/?articleid=13034">change you can believe in</a>, only if you&#8217;re drunk &#038; not paying attention, or young, idealistic, and easily swayed by emotive speech. I&#8217;m none of the above, anymore. Obama&#8217;s National Security Working Group includes Sam Nunn, David Boren, Lee Hamilton, Tim Roemer, Warren Christopher, Madeleine Albright, Tony Lake, Greg Craig, Richard Danzig (I don&#8217;t think he&#8217;s with the band), Eric Holder, William Perry (he&#8217;s lost a lot of weight), and Susan Rice. In case you don&#8217;t know those names, it&#8217;s a who&#8217;s who of insiders and former Clinton staffers from the 90s. Change my f#cking a$$. </p>
<p><a href="http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/7775/myfirstcavitysearchmb9.jpg">My First Cavity Search!</a> A game to help your child understand why he may be a threat to national security.</p>
<p>Good article by Hans-Hermann Hoppe on <a href="http://mises.org/story/2874">the impossibility of limited government and the prospects for a second American Revolution</a>. Worth reading, a bit long.</p>
<p>If I were gonna step outside to shoot some burglars ripping off my neighbor&#8217;s house, <a href="http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5gP3OsajRB6BM1On6y5d66X8hodrwD91KVCD00">the last thing I&#8217;d do is call 911 before popping the caps</a>. I think calling 911 <strong>after</strong> the gunplay is the way to go. This story really validates the theory that <strong>NOT</strong> talking to the cops, and especially keeping your mouth shut before taking action, is the smart trip. Those five damn words are gonna keep this guy in courts, one or another, for several years.</p>
<p>Totally side note: I now have about 3 dozen of my 200-ish cassette tapes ripped into mp3 format, tagged by genre and ready to burn. After a haphazard start, I redirected and am now working by genre, blues and blues rock first. I had forgotten how good <a href="<a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000000D2K?ie=UTF8&#038;tag=bilremakanodo-20&#038;linkCode=as2&#038;camp=1789&#038;creative=9325&#038;creativeASIN=B000000D2K">Delbert McClinton</a><img src="http://www.assoc-amazon.com/e/ir?t=bilremakanodo-20&#038;l=as2&#038;o=1&#038;a=B000000D2K" width="1" height="1" border="0" alt="" style="border:none !important; margin:0px !important;" /> sounded.<br />

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The key sentences in <a href="http://www.lewrockwell.com/sardi/sardi84.html">Bill Sardi&#8217;s article on cancer treatments</a> are:</p>
<blockquote><p>Gc-MAF is a naturally made molecule and is not patentable, though its manufacturing process is patent protected. There is no evidence of any current effort to commercialize this therapy or put it into practice.</p></blockquote>
<p>That&#8217;s why this will <strong>NEVER</strong> be available in the U.S. Nobody gets the high-margin-producing patent rights to the chemical itself, and the U.S. government&#8217;s guns protecting their &#8220;intellectual property,&#8221; if they sell a treatment containing bio-identical molecules. </p>
<p><strong>That&#8217;s</strong> why there&#8217;s no effort to commercialize this treatment. </p>
<p>Government intervention pushes the profit incentive away from successful resolution of disease causes, and towards a path of maximizing the length of treatment, and the margins of the chemicals used for treatment. The same dynamic is at work in various other ways: &#8220;new and improved&#8221; drugs that really aren&#8217;t, from a patient&#8217;s perspective, but <strong>ARE</strong> subject to new patents, as opposed to the (now-generic) drugs they replaced; actions taken by the Feral Death Administration (FDA) against bio-identical hormones and compounding pharmacies, to force people into using patented <strong>artifical substitutes</strong> instead of natural estrogen, thyroid, etc.; and the <a href="http://fee.org/publications/the-freeman/article.asp?aid=8247">use of psychotropic drugs to manage behavior</a>. </p>
<p>Much of this is purely negative fallout from &#8220;intellectual property&#8221; laws that really don&#8217;t do jack shit to promote innovation, and aren&#8217;t necessary for the same. As an example of a field with the driving force behind the innovation cycle being a <strong>lack</strong> of &#8220;IP&#8221; laws, <a href="http://www.portfolio.com/views/blogs/market-movers/2008/06/02/wheres-the-ip-in-finance">see financial derivatives</a>.</p>
<p>The artificial protection of &#8220;IP&#8221; laws distorts the market&#8217;s natural incentives for innovation, making absolutely sure that what we get isn&#8217;t actually the innovation that market participants would be best served by, and introducing incentives for &#8220;mal-innovation.&#8221; </p>
<p>Post Script: this happens in every industry, not just pharma. There is probably not a single cleaning or disinfecting product in your home that you couldn&#8217;t replace with either plain soap, baking powder, chlorine or oxygen bleach, or vinegar. But where are the profit margins in selling those??? The profit margins in developing new, patentable, cleaning molecules and contraptions is high. Talcum powder is incredibly effective against fire ants, but low-margin compared to far more expensive, and less effective, bait poisons. On it goes &#8230; </p>
